Hello. Welcome to the second post. It's funny because after I posted my first entry, I was worried about how I was going to find fresh songs to post all the time, and it was really bothering me. Now, here I sit, with hundreds of songs going through my head (exaggeration), and I'm unable to decide on song. I think I want to stick with a similar format, or pattern of song genres. Like having one remix, one dubstep, one slow song, etc. So, lets start things off shall we?
Discovery - Osaka Loop Line(Indie/Electric)
Meet Discovery, not exactly brand spankin' new, but still good. Their album was released just over a year ago. As you listen you'll hear commonalities with bands Ra Ra Riot and Vampire Weekend. If not, thats fine, you'll catch on. This is the love child of Rotsam Batmanglij (keyboardist from Vampire Weekend) and Wes Miles (the vocalist of Ra Ra Riot). Great song, great beats, great vocals. What else could you ask for. Anyways, have a listen.
Hoodie Allen - You Are Not A Robot(Hip Hop/Popular)
First of all, I had never heard of this guy, until I started listening to Marina & The Diamonds. If you're a fan, then you'll notice a sped up version of her song 'I Am Not A Robot". If you're not a fan, then you'll still probably enjoy this song. Just posted for the catchiness and the blatant sampling of Marina & The Diamonds, its worth a listen.
The Knife - Heartbeats(Electric/Pop)
Straight out of Sweden comes probably one of my favourite songs right now. This is The Knife, from an album they released in 2003 titled "Deep Cuts". The video I posted is an example of one of their live shows. Its amazing what two siblings, a screen, and some lights can do. So enjoy the video, while the beat and catchy vocals entertain your ears.
Röyksopp - Senior Living(Electric/House)
Now, I know I posted a Röyksopp last entry, however I just couldn't help myself from posting something new. This song is so incredibly laid back and mellow I'm almost asleep writing this, but in the best way possible. Staying true with the same type of feel from their last album but slowing it down a whole lot, "Senior" is a great follow up album. Enjoy this track of their newest album.
I Am Robot And Proud - The Catch(Indie/Electric)
Straight out of Toronto, Ontario Canada (w00t), this guy is amazing. Again, another old song, dating back to 2001/2002 (holy shit that's 8 years ago). This song, infact whole album, is just fantastic. There's not a whole lot to say about him, except for the fact that he's everywhere in the Toronto electric scene. Have a listen to this song, and infact the whole album, and just zone out. That's what I plan on doing.
