This is a blog, dedicated to music enjoyed in its purest form: While sitting on a bathroom floor. As you listen to these songs, don't hesitate to send me songs as well. I'll listen to any song, and if it's good, I'll post it along with the other ones.

I really enjoy hearing what people think of the songs I play them, so send me your comments, criticisms, song, thoughts, or anything else you can think of. I'll get back to you with a (hopefully) witty retort.

I'm gonna have'a some kinda fun.

Everybody's got a mum, and I gotta give mad shout outs to mine (as should everyone for various reasons…). If it wasn't for my mum, I wouldn't be listening to the music I am today. Sure you can argue that taste in music is subjective, and I will absolutely agree. However, I definitely owe most of my musical taste to the music my mum raised me on. My mum was into the alt scene in the 80s, and she definitely rubbed this off on little baby me. When I was a kid, I would absolutely LOVE going for car rides, no matter where or for how long, just as long as I could run to the car, reach in the glove compartment and grab The Talking Head's cassette. This one's for you ma.

Television Man - The Talking Heads (Alternative/Rock)

First song of the night. Memories of this song are as before mentioned, driving anywhere. I would literally fight my brother for control of the radio as a young child, just so I could listen to this whole album. Still to this day, I remember every single word, and singing it with my mother at any time. Great lines from this song include, "When the world crashes in through my living room, television made me what I am."

Some Kinda Fun - Teenage Head (Punk/Beach-Pop)

Straight outta Canada (what else would you expect). Although this album dropped before my date of birth, it's still undeniably awesome. Another band I was raised on.

A Message To You Rudy - The Specials (Ska/Reggae)

Talking to my mum shortly before posting tonight, she recommended I played a different song by The Specials, however, I have more memories with this song, and I just love the horns sections. If you enjoyed this one, then check out the first one I was going to post, Pressure Drop

Mirror In The Bathroom - The English Beat (Punk/Alternative)

Can't have a post about 80s alternative music without The Beat. Amazing song. Have a listen.

All That She Wants - Ace Of Base (Indie/Alternative)

This song/band, I can't give my mum credit for. I don't remember how I found Ace of Base, but I'm pretty sure they just found me. Haven't listened to them in YEARS, but I will definitely revisit the early 90s and listen to them as often as I can.
